Staying at the Le Terrazze villas you will be just 200 meters from Lake Garda, so a few minutes away from the beaches as well as, for example, the Marina Nautica Casarola, a landmark in Lazise for those who want to sail in Italy’s largest lake. But having a boat is certainly not mandatory to enjoy Lake Garda! We want to suggest 10 water sports you can try on Lake Garda, ranging from well-known activities to original or extravagant disciplines.

10 water sports on Lake Garda

Windsurfing: Lake Garda offers several favored spots for windsurfing, thanks to the winds that blow generously. Along the Veronese coast, you can also find various centers that rent windsurfing equipment, as well as instructors ready to teach you the basics of this magnificent water sport.

Kayaking: Whether on a single-seater canoe or with others, paddling in unison, kayaking is one of the best ways to explore Lake Garda. With good technique and decent training, you can quickly cover several miles. Not to be underestimated!

SUP: Stand-up paddleboarding is one of the most popular water sports of the last year, combining fitness, relaxation and water exploration. It’s all about finding the right balance: once you achieve stability, moving in the water on this large board will be a breeze.

Water-skiing: the ultimate adrenaline-filled water sport. Unlike the other activities mentioned here, it requires a boat, and more specifically a certified motorboat and an experienced driver. Want to feel the thrill? Look for a center offering this service, there are plenty around Lake Garda!

Wakeboard: pulled by a boat, like in water-skiing, or at cable parks, such as Gardawake in Lazise, where you can challenge yourself with jumps and tricks on the water.

Kitesurfing: a spectacular variation of surfing, where you are pulled by a kite. Here euphoria is guaranteed, speeding across the water and, at the right moment, taking flight over the lake. Simply extraordinary.

Swimming: we can’t overlook the simplest water sport, but at the same time the most natural. It’s unthinkable to take a holiday on Lake Garda in summer without enjoying refreshing swims!

Wing Foiling: one of the most innovative water sports, halfway between windsurfing, kitesurfing and SUP, taking advantage of specialized boards with hydrofoils. A whole new and adrenaline-filled way to fly over Lake Garda.

Yoga Surf: the union of surfing and yoga, to better combine physical and spiritual balance in a natural environment, with no walls and no boundaries.

Scuba diving: : lastly, don’t forget the opportunity to dive into Lake Garda’s waters. Did you know that near Lazise lie the remains of a 16th century warship? The wreckage is at a depth of about 25 meters, 500 meters from the harbor.
